Child Nepal (CN) is non profit making and non government national organization formally established in 2003. CN is working with the children being more focused on protection and promotion of child rights in rights based approach. The Fact Finding Missions were run in coordination with HRTMCC. Since CN is the Coordinator of the CRC Sub Committee of HRTMCC, it took the responsibility of the missions with the support from Committee members. The fact findings include
Dolakha Fact Finding Mission (Report) and
Bara Fact Finding Mission (Report). The former was launched to investigate the impact of political conflict to school children while the latter dealt with the misuse of children in CA Campaign and Election.

As an eminent entity, CN aspires and envisions the cognitive, psychological, physical and social development of children participating from family to state affairs through the child clubs. CN runs one child club at central level in Kathmandu and four other child clubs at Duwachaur VDC, Sindhupalchok. CN regularly coordinates for running the child club programmes with CONSORTIUM and plans the child centric activities. The major activities include: Wall Magazine Publication, Trainings and Orientations on child rights and child participation, exposure and learning visits in other child clubs, sports, music, literature and many more subjects of their interest.

As an annual program, CN initiated the Shanti Running Shield Art Competition from the year 2005 portraying children's longing desire for peace and harmony and dreadful consequences of conflict and violence to Nepali children. It is organized in the occasion of Int'l CRC Day every November 20. Schools and local child clubs of Kathmandu and out of valley can participate in this competition. CN views it as an apt platform promoting child participation.

School on Child Rights is a school that initiates discourses on CR with academic knowledge and enhancing professional skills through researches, trainings, workshops, seminars, interactions and campaigns that contribute for the development of positive attitudes towards children in general and specifically children at risk. The school is situated in Kathmandu however allover Nepal remains its coverage.
Comprehensive center for rehabilitation and integration of conflict affected children
The 10 years vision, MEV, objectively focuses in promoting quality education and providing overall educational infrastructures to the targeted community. The program is currently running at Duwachaur VDC of Sindhupalchok district. Manifold educational programmes are being carried on under MEV Programmes as follows:
Child Development Center (CDC) program is the gateway programme of MEV. For attaining the goal of quality education, it is necessary for the children to have a learning friendly education. The CDC particularly promotes child friendly learning with Early Childhood Development (ECD) approach along with health services. CN is running Jugal CDC at Duwahaur- 2, Thulochaur. More than 95 children of age group 0-5 years are directly taking benefit from the Center supported by 4 CDC facilitators. CN envisions establishing other 3 CDCs in the VDC.

As a prominent entity of the MEV, Computer Education programme is launched in the Bal Sudhar Secondary School of Duwachaur VDC from 2008 with the support from Australian Embassy. 10 computers were supported by the Embassy. Computer Education is running as per the government curriculum including both theory and practical classes. More than 250 children are getting direct support from this program.
It is a child friendly bi-monthly magazine with the key focus on Information and Entertainment. Cartoons, fine arts, photographs along with child friendly words are the means for disseminating the message. The topics include Child Rights, Entertainment (sports, history, geography, art, General Knowledge, poems/stories of children etc), IT, Culture, Tourism, Health, Education and other current topics and issues. In addition, articles on ideas, concepts, perspective, opinions and views of well known and established writers in child literature, child specialists, child psychologists and educationists are also included that enrich children's knowledge. The magazine is thus designed as a means of Infotainment for children to explore novel things since we regard them as natural scientists. The magazine can develop its hallmark in the child publication arena of Nepal.

Study on different child right issues and its violations
This comparative analysis research document concerns in portraying the existing gaps on child rights provisions in UNCRC and Nepali legal provisions. This valuable document has been a core entity in reforming the system of child rights in Nepal. It depicts the factual situation of Nepalese Legislations on Child Rights. It has also been one of the valuable resources for UNDP as a reference material in the present context of writing new constitution of Nepal.
Study on and dissemination of good practices on Child Rights (national and international)
The Monthly Interaction Programme focuses on the core theme "Quality Education: Rights to All" with the joint effort of Child Nepal and Social Welfare Council (SWC). Under this core theme, the interactions will be organized on various topics. The programme is targeted in finding out the current issues in education, draft the issues and do advocacy to incorporate these issues in the Upcoming New Constitution. The programme is fruitful to apprehend the diverse opinion on education, its challenges and mitigating measures which could further be included in CN's programme planning and strategy to achieve mission:-Promoting Child Rights through Education" that complement the national campaigning on 'Education For All (EFA)' to be achieved by 2015. The child forums are organized in the schools of Kathmandu valley targeting the students of standard 4, 5 and 6 with the mission to deliver the concepts of child rights and make aware about it. Such forums have been apt platform for children to express their fathom deep feelings.
