Documentary productionBackground It is widely recognized that quality education is only the effective means to generate an able, competitive and independent citizen. Access to quality education, an inalienable right of children is the must, so as to promote child rights and national development. Nepal is a country with rural and remote villages. The condition of child rights is worst inmost of them. Children are deprived even from their basic rights of, leave out enrolling school. They have poor educational status. Those who enroll the rural schools aren't competitive as compared to urban children. In this context, what will be the future of such children and how can they direct the way for national development? Many children have migrated in urban areas as child laborers and many of them have become street children, falling tragic life. This isn't a good omen for the future development of Nepal. Upward mobility of the educational status, widening the scope of technical and life skill education can play a vital role in this context. Child Nepal (CN) is running a Model Educational Village (MEV) Programme in remote VDCs of Mugu and Sindhupalchok districts of Nepal. It is trying to launch various activities regarding quality education in the targeted VDCs for child rights promotion and child development. Documentary could play a significant role to provide a clear picture and situation of the VDCs in this regard.
